April 1st is a miserable day for most of the Internet. Cloudflare has never been one for the traditional April Fools antics. Usually we just ignored the day and went on with our mission to help build a better Internet. Last year we decided to go the opposite direction launching a service that we hoped would benefit every Internet user: 1. The service's goal was simple — be the fastest, most secure, most privacy-respecting DNS resolver on the Internet. It was our first attempt at a consumer service. While we try not to be sophomoric, we're still geeks at heart, so we couldn't resist launching 1. We weren't kidding.

What the new ‘Star Trek’ warp-speed animation shows – and why it’s depressing
Humanity moves really, really slowly through space
This trouncing of theoretical physics makes reaching alien-rich planets across the galaxy seem like just a convenient TV-commercial-break-length trip away. After receiving widespread attention for those animations, he began wondering what going faster might look like in reality. Over the more than 50 years of productions, different series and episodes and movies throw out conflicting numbers. That scale suggests a warp factor of 1 is light speed shown below between Earth and the moon and the typical upper limit warp of 9. The spaceship starts out at warp 1 and eventually accelerates to warp 9.
Can I just start this post with saying that you guys ask the best questions! Please feel free to drop me an email or comment below if you have something on your mind about weaving. I may not know the answer, but I love to research and test things out. Alright, so I recently received a really good question about what threads should be used for warping a lap loom. Since I already discussed yarn weight for your weft here , it also makes sense to talk about your warp threads. If you have been reading this blog for a while, you probably know that I favor using a cotton yarn for my warp.
